ABOUT ME

about transcendaspxI have been privileged to help people from diverse cultural backgrounds explore their problems and reach their personal goals. My work as a counsellor is incredibly fulfilling. I enjoy collaborating with clients, providing a safe and comforting environment, and helping clients gain a deeper understanding of their challenges and make positive changes in their lives.

Training and Qualifications

I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University. My thesis research explored North American standards of attractiveness and how these unattainable standards can negatively impact mental health and wellness. In addition to my coursework in counselling psychology, I have also completed graduate level coursework in public and population health, which also informs my practice.

Continued learning is an essential and exciting part of my work. I regularly attend psychotherapeutic workshops and have received specialized training in mindfulness, attachment theory, crisis intervention, and grief, trauma, anxiety and depression management.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. As an RCC, I am committed to providing quality services and maintaining professional and ethical standards.
